Since this month was ATL (please read my last blog before this one),I came across the idea to share with you my daily experiences as if I was writing in a journal. I have written down just the highlights of my day where I saw the Lord move through either myself, my teammates, or the people we had met. Even if it was a small act of love it was worth it. You never know how far a small act of love can go.

July 1st:

  • The security guard of our Airb&b carried my 45lb big back pack into the house for me. And bought us some supplies and food to start out with!
  • Andrew helped me with the dinner dishes

July 2nd:

  • During morning team prayer/ worship we had either a word/ vision/ picture of where we were going to go or what we would see as his direction this day, week, or month.
  • Jen and I met Jaques. A pastor and the Good News Newspaper rep. We prayed with them outside the bookstore where we met.

July 3rd:

  • We met Hope, A Non profit organization. We prayed with them. It’s around the corner from our house

July 4th:

  • We had another team join us at our AirB&B for a mini party. Kelly helped me with the dishes after dinner. My team offered our food to our guards.

July 5th:

  • We went to an Asian clinic and shared the gospel with 3 Ugandan ladies, prayed with them and I gave one girl a small bible to read more about Jesus.
  • The three of us each had words/vision that the Lord gave us in the beginning of the week that we each saw at the Asian clinic this day. This confirmed that God wanted us to be there and we found it!

July 6th:

  • A random 9 year old boy was blessed with an ice cream cone.

July 7th:

  • We found Watoto church. It was the church where one of our teammates had a vision a week before that we were supposed to be there. A lady named Jackie from the welcome team got us connected and took care of our first time guest questions.

July 8th:

  • The Lord put it on our hearts to stay in for the day to intercede. We prayed for our squad, for each team and over different situations. We spent time in listening prayer for each team and then encouraged the team we heard the Lord speak to us about.

July 9th:

  • We went back to the Asian clinic to follow up with the ladies. Julia read the entire book of John ( the small bible we gave her). She became a believer and said she’ll praise God forever!! We met Teresa, she was sick, high fever and dizziness. We prayed healing over her and she felt better. (A week later she found out she was pregnant).

July 10th:

  • God opened a door for us to serve as a team at a Word of Life ministry campus. We helped serve them by painting walls of new offices, served in the kitchen, and built a fence.

July 11th:

  • We went back to both clinics to check up on the ladies we made connections with last week. We prayed with them again. My friend prophesied over one of the ladies that the Lord has given her a gift in teaching. And she confirmed with us that 2 years ago a pastor prophesied the same thing and that she would open a kindergarten school one day.

July 12th:

  • We Waited almost 2 hours for an Uber to pick us up from our friends house. No one could find us and the neighborhood was dangerous at night. The host walked all the way down the hill to find our Uber and she brought him up to us at 11pm.

July 13th:

  • Sabbath.

July 14th:

  • Andrew and I went out for a walk and witnessed to a couple who was looking for money. The woman was ill with TB and cancer in her foot. We prayed healing. We started talking with them and found out that the couple are new born again Christians. They had left the Muslim faith last week. The couple had actually met another team (our friends) last week who bought them dinner, witnessed to them and brought them to faith before we met them tonight. Then we met a man in the middle of street who was publicly preaching the Word of God and we prayed with him.

July 15th:

  • Word of Life Campus ministry.
  • Meeting new Christian brother and sisters had become a blessing. (We Biblical conversations and time of laughter).
  • We helped relocate and clean old and new offices for the ministry. We did Bible club evangelism to a high school.
  • I shared my testimony with 46 high school students about not being conformed to the world but to be renewing the mind in the word of God and how God had done that for me.

July 16th:

  • Word of Life Campus ministry. My team helped In the kitchen and tore down a wall. Then we went to do Bible Club evangelism to a high school. 2 testimonies were shared and Andrew preached to them.

July 17th:

  • Today was our last “ministry day” before we head to another city tomorrow. We walked around to say our goodbyes, blessings and prayers to the people we have been pouring into over the last few weeks.
  • I did listening prayer for a few friends at home. The Lord had given me verses to encourage my friends for their benefit.

July 18th:

  • The office at Word of Life helped connect us to a private bus transportation to get our team safely to Jinga. Our team could have found our own transportation but Word of Life wanted to help us out as Christian brothers and sisters. “We are here for one another.”

July 19th:

  • Sabbath

I really enjoyed to have ATL this month as well as seeing the Lord move throughout our month. The Lord answered prayers, gave us direction and provision in different ways. And like I said even in the small acts of love and service, it all has brought glory and joy to our Lord and even to our lives. Jesus is so cool! I really hope this blog encourages those who read this to look for Jesus throughout their day. Count your blessings! Look what God has done!
