Do you ever have those days where you open the blinds or curtains to your house and the warm light shines through your window and brightens up your house? Do you ever do that and right away you feel a little joy in your heart because you just LOVE warm and beautiful spring or summer days? And when we open those blinds to bring light into our homes, it gives us a sense of joy or just puts us into a good mood. We even become motivated to clean a little more around the house or have fun conversations at home with our family or friends. Some of us also love to enjoy day light by being adventurous outdoors.

There is a point to this blog I promise… 🙂

I was at work today and worked most of the day with the window shades down until I asked someone to open them for me. And when those shades were pulled up, I made a comment (and others did too) of how much brighter it looked inside and it kind of brightened my mood as well.

Well today the Lord showed me something small but it also touched my heart a little. If a warm beautiful bright blue sky day brightens not only my mood but others too, than how can we forget who the TRUE LIGHT of the WORLD is and what the light will give us.

Those shades can also be those walls we put up around our hearts blocking from any good thing entering our hearts.

So pull up those shades, and let God show you what TRUE LIGHT is!

Be adventurous with the light Jesus shines in you. Enjoy HIM like you enjoy the sunlight on a nice spring day!

Jesus is the Light of the World! He is light and that light gives us LIFE!

And He spoke it, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” -John 4:18

Choose to follow Jesus today.. Let the light (Jesus) come into your hearts, your life. His light gives us a reason to live, gives us purpose, hope, joy, and motivation. His light is LOVE that will never be comparable to what we temporarily experience here on earth. How Awesome is that!!!

Colossians 3:1-4 “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.”
