Hello!

My name is Katelyn Webb. I am 25 years old and live in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. I have a huge heart for missions and children's ministry. I have been involved in children's ministry for 4 years and it has been one of the biggest blessings the Lord has given me. I enjoy discipling and encouraging others so they understand the Lord knows what is best for them.

I grew up in a Christian home and church. I didn't come into a relationship with Jesus until I was 21 years old. In the past 3 years I have gone on 4 short term missions trips but I always believed that God had much more for me but I wasn't sure what. I knew about Adventures in Missions for 2 years now and I didn't ask the Lord for this opportunity until just recently. I am so grateful the Lord opened this door for me because I know this is what the Lord had placed on my heart when I was a child.

As a child, I remember walking into the front door of my old church and glancing at a huge world map that was hanging on the wall. This world map had pins and pictures of missionaries around the world that our church supported. As a child looking up, glancing at it and I wondered where God would take me when I was older. Never would I have thought the Lord would send me to 11 countries in 11 months!! Wow God!

I have a heart for loving and caring for people as well as learning cultures throughout the world. I find learning different cultures very interesting.

These last few years have been real challenging for me dealing with hurt, heartbreak and losing loved ones. This all makes sense because the Lord has been preparing my heart for this long term trip. The Lord has allowed me to experience pain so I would learn to lean on Him which helped me grow stronger, and better yet, closer to His heart. The Lord taught me to follow Him what ever it may cost and whatever the circumstance may be. Today I pray that the Lord uses my testimony to give the hope of Jesus Christ to others. I know that the purposeful life the Lord is creating for me will be the reasoning behind the preparation before this trip.
